We checked out the glamourous Ritz Carlton during our stay in Bangkok in July 2025. As usual, we were treated like Maharajas and Maharanis.
Once you alight from your cab/limo which has brought you there from the airport, you are greeted by super friendly doormen. You gaze at the splendidly beautiful carpets and the fantastic chandeliers which line the hallways all the way to the lobby to do your check in.
Indeed, the Ritz literally reeks with luxury and opulence. When you finally arrive at your room, you find it is simply fantastic and it is sinfully clean and sparkling. They even took care to make sure your TV remotes are spanking clean! That’s the standard of a 6 star hotel, I figure.
We treated ourselves to their sumptuous breakfast spread; we were really spoilt for choice. We couldn’t stop raving about the food and the décor and ambience of the Dining Room of the Ritz Carlton. Talking about service, this has to be the one of the finest in the beautiful Land of Smiles!
We were pampered from the start of our breakfast meal by one pretty lady, Mdm Jay. You could call her the Head Server of the Dining Room. She was very generous with her smiles, her warmth and signature Ritz Carlton hospitality…but she saved the best for last, ie she served us soft shell crab tenderly fried to perfection and served In a beautiful platter that puts fine dining almost to shame! We were also treated to lobster and king prawns for breakfast ! Fancy that !!!
All in, we were sad to leave Ritz Carlton behind but we said goodbye to Mdm Jay and Ms NJ (from the Front Desk) with a simple promise that we will be back in January 2026 !!!
